Philosophy: The Classics podcast is top of iTunes 'Society and Culture' section

My podcast of chapters from my book Philosophy: The Classics has hit the number one spot of the 'Society and Culture' section in the UK iTunes rankings today pipping 'In Our Time' and 'Start the Week'. It's at no. 30 in the list of all podcasts on iTunes too. It is very gratifying to know that so many people are interested in philosophy.

I'm thinking about starting a podcast based on selected sections of my book Philosophy: The Basics - shorter episodes of perhaps  5 - 10 minutes each. I'd be really interested to know if there is any demand for this.

I've just posted the latest installment of my podcast of my book Philosophy: The Classics (3rd ed.). It's the chapter on the notoriously difficult Critique of Pure Reason. Life is short, so I've provided what I take to be the essence of the book summarised in 13 minutes of podcast. Inevitably this involves some simplification and glossing over of arguments...(OK, quite a lot)...I'd like to cite Yogi Berra in my defence:

    "You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you're going, because you might not get there."
