There is a French podcast called 2000 ans de l'histoire, which is even closer in style to IOT. In ones I've listened to recently they've discussed Da Vinci, the Gaza Strip and Voltaire. Obviously it's not always philosophy-related, but I think it's clearer and better produced than Les Vendredis de la Philosophie.
